SUGGESTED IMPROVEMENTS FOR NBA ALL STAR

All Star has been in the past a good moment to introduce new testing, like when was celebrated the first dunk contest during the half time of an All Star Game, that won Doc. J., reflecting what was happening at play grounds like Rucker Park.

So this are my suggestions.
  • For making the NBA ALL STAR GAME more competitive, every team of the winner division, East or West, that during regular season competes against a another team of the other division, will win in case of a tie game. This could be from the moment is celebrated an ALL STAR until the season end.

  • In my opinion if an line for 4 points is used like Adam Silver suggests, players will finally realize that to throw from a farther distance is not so complicated, this could derive in having to build larger courts. So the topic has to be treated carefully. You can read my personal opinion about the topic on the post Basketball Court of the Future on my blog ON WAY TO THE NBA RING.

  • For the 3 contest, use color balls drown with red or dark blue stars on.

  • Build a hoop of graphene, to be lighter and resistant.

  • Doing a thematic All Star. For Example if it is celebrated in Huston or California, do one based on the idea of travelling to Mars, that it is on fashion. The balls could be red like the planet mentioned. You can read a recreation in key of humor of what would be Adam Silver's and Elon Musk's statements planning to celebrate the 2041 MARS NBA ALL STAR on my blog ON WAY TO THE NBA RING.

  • The ball for the initial jump can be thrown from above by a drone like the one used Aaron Gordon on the 2017 slam dunk contest. Instead of being released from bellow by referees.

Recreation of an initial jump starring by Gasol brothers. The ball is trown from above by a cuaricopter drone.

  • Players during the ALL STAR GAME could wear an electronic wristband of LED's that could change its color depending of an interactive interaction of the public in the stadium with players. For example if public choose one player to play the second half, his wristband could acquire green color. It would be necessary to vote through a device or mobile.

Also the shooting of a determined player could worth more depending of public choice. For example if people choose James Harden for third quarter, his wristband would acquire yellow color and his points would worth double each. Or the coach could choose the player instead.

These ideas an others were sent to NBA's commissioner Adam Silver by e-mail to Adam@NBA.com on the seventh of March 2017,  and grateful by him. This was his response:

"Thank you for sharing your suggestions about ways to improve NBA All-Star... You can be sure that we will keep your thoughts in mind.

Sincerely,
Adam"
