๐Ÿ€NBA Coaches Playbook. Review ๐Ÿ€

You can't say that a book written by so many legend coaches is not good. You confront with some of the best coaches of all time, starting by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (he is not properly a team coach) who for sure trained personally to Andrew Bynum and Dwight Howard. Two grate pivots but the first has been lost along the way and the second it is not the promise that one time was. Also Mike Fratello, the one with a peculiar face like a mask. Phik Jackson who teach as the "blind pig play" (I don't know why he called it that way but the title can be celebrated because  is very original). Avery Johnson who explains his plays with a speedy style and at the same time very direct but a little pidgin Irish. Stan Van Gundy, also related to Dwight Howard who stabbed him in the back when he coached Orlando Magic. Tex Winter who mastered the "triangle." Ruben Magnano who coach the best Argentina with Manu Ginobili as a reference player, I think I remember. To name those who I know the most.

Once you know the main conveniences , that are explained at the beginning, for schemes you can start to read the book. The first three chapters are more difficult to follow because are told by means of words and some moves tought I couldn't understand. From the fourth on, they have graphics and they are more visual. So they are easier to be followed. However I am reading the book for third time (I don't have eidetic memory like Elon Musk do) and I am understanding better and better the plays.  Also there are usually further entertaining explanations to the end of chapters.

Each coach teaches the aspects of the game that better understand so you can know first hand how they think. Moreover at the end of the book there is a chapter about the physical training of players.

In general I have enjoyed all the book but there is true that sometimes I have lost the plot, maybe because of my limited knowledge or maybe because some of the plays are not explained in a continous way. But it was not frequently.

I think it is a fantastic book for learning plays, above all. I recommend it for coaches and players.
