I have just read this encyclopaedia about bodybuilding by Oscar Moran Esquerdo with the collaboration of the illustrator Isabel Arechabala. I think it is a good thing, to cultivate oneself on the matter you are involved. If one want to prepare for playing basketball through bodybuilding it is worth to read about how to do the exercises with the different machines in the gym and what muscles the body has. In my view this encyclopaedia is very dense. It is not very easy to be read. But if you read it one chapter or two every day you will finish it in several months. However it is better if you have already knowledge about bodybuilding.

In my case, due to I knew very few about muscles, at the beginning it looked for me that I never were going to be capable of understanding, retain in my memory and distinguish all that muscles. But more or less finally I got it.
The author of the book gives special relevance to the cautions you have to take with some exercises like the Deadlift.
Of course it is interesting the bench press but also the decline  bench press for the upper chest. I do it using dumbbells and with barbell. I also do cable push-down triceps, wrist roller, barbell squats, back extension, barbell military press and others. All the muscles are important, the internal and the external ones.
The book has got a minidictionary at the last appendix. Say for example that dumbbell it is called "mancuerna" in Spanish. A curious word.
